What is CDPAP?
New York’s Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) is a Medicaid-sponsored plan that gives New York State residents the ability to choose their own caregiver. You are empowered to choose, evaluate and even dismiss a qualifying individual. This unique home care program provides you the ability to receive the service you need from someone you already trust.
Do I Qualify?
You must meet the following criteria:- Must be eligible for Medicaid
- Must be a resident of New York State
- Must have an ongoing medical condition
- Must require assistance with activities of daily living
- Must be able to self-direct care or appoint someone to do so
