The Benefits of Keeping a Gratitude Journal

This year our memory care program, True Bridge, started participating in The Gratitude Project. The idea behind this project is for clients and caregivers to "Take 5 minutes each day and write down, record, or draw 3 things for which you are grateful."

Although there is no clear origin as to how journaling gratitude began, it is a concept that has been around for almost 20 years. "The research behind gratitude is very clear; having a simple and regular gratitude practice can have surprising, profound effects on our lives," says Dr. Lauren Tober in this video.

COVID-19 Update 8/6/2020

True Care is an essential business, and we have remained fully operational since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. We have worked diligently to stay up to date and compliant with all COVID-19 regulations and requirements as they become available from our governing body, the Department of Health. At this time, True Care is meeting and exceeding all State and Federal COVID-19 regulations.

COVID-19 Update: 7/22/20

With all regions in the state now in either Phase 2, 3, or 4 of the reopening plan we are happy to return to some of the activities that we have missed over the last four months.  However, it is still important that we remain vigilant in our COVID-19 prevention practices so New York State can continue to enjoy a decrease in infections and hospitalizations.

During these unprecedented times, we have seen many come to the call of helping those in need. Our city has changed and so is who we call heroes. Heroes care for others as if they’re family. For the countless amount of people who may not have anyone else to turn to— They do grocery runs, fill prescriptions, and enter the city streets so we, the vulnerable don’t have to. They are our neighbors, our friends, our relatives.
